However, Sujit Choudhry has realized that most of the measures that most of the governments have been introducing directly conflict with the necessary human rights that people out there in specific countries are supposed to be enjoying. Canada is one of the examples where the government has instituted lockdowns across the country, which is a move that sparked outrage across the country, with most of the people claiming that their human rights have been violated.

This brings about the major questions of what the government should be doing to balance the current situation. Sujit Choudhry believes that it is the responsibility of the government to make sure that most of the issues with regards to the protection of the larger community have been protected. This stands out as one of the common reasons why governments have to remain in operations because they are known to make sure that they are protecting the larger population.

Unfortunately, people in Canada do not feel as though the government is protecting their rights. They feel as though the government has been doing everything necessary to contravene their rights, which is unacceptable. However, Sujit Choudhry is of the view that the government is currently doing what needs to be done to make sure that everything is currently handled well to protect the vulnerable, especially the elderly, frontline healthcare workers, and those with special needs.
